Encourage Young People to Speak Up

Mental health is on the rise in young people and children.

COVID-19 and lockdown contributed to isolation, reduced social interaction and increased exposure to social media.

Young people experience low mood, anxiety and other mental health difficulties just like adults. However symptoms may be very subtle and expressed in very different ways.

If you are a young person or a parent and your child is struggling but you're not sure why, take a look at some of the links below to find out more about what could be the cause and what options you have to explore how best to help.

Young Minds

We provide young people with tools to look after their mental health. Our website is full of advice and information on what to do if you're struggling with how you feel. We empower parents and adults who work with young people, to be the best support they can be to the young people in their lives. And we give young people the space and confidence to get their voices heard and change the world we live in. Together, we can create a world where no young person feels alone with their mental health.
